The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone.
I will make a helper suitable for him.” Genesis 2:18
My parents celebrated 50 years of marriage today.
While much
of it has been truly wonderful, there also have been challenging times….six
children born in the first decade of their marriage, a house fire in which they
lost all of their belongings, and the loss of loved ones, parents and siblings,
to name a few. Of course, God is with us
in our trials, but having a suitable helper is truly a gift from Him to aid us
in life. I thank the Lord every day for
them and pray that He will continue to bless them.
